This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I teach Algebra 1 in a Dallas ISD High School. Though each of my students is uniquely different, each one of them shares a care and respect for math. My students love the application part of Algebra, I've taught them to see equations and math formulas as they look at the world around them.
My students are witty, funny, intelligent, tough, and extremely motivated to learn.
The students I teach know that advancing in education will open up doors, leading to financial freedom. My student will positively impact the world.
My Project
I fully understand technology gives students great resources, new opportunities for learning, ways to collaborate with each other as well as opportunities to create limitlessly. Technology is not only a very powerful tool for education, but using technology early can give students a leg up in our every evolving world. The idea of project based learning is intriguing to me and using a MacBook and sleeve will give me a chance to incorporate truly differentiated lessons.
I've seen how other teaches have used MacBooks to create education movies, learning videos and creating interactive worksheet.
I would like help creating the most engaging lessons that I can.
