Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students will build macromolecules found in foods such as triglycerides, carbohydrates, proteins and other extended chemical structures for their Biochemistry of Food class. The goal is to make Alexander Calder-like kinetic structures to hang in our classroom. This is a whole-class group project.
My students have assets in the arts and sciences and it has been my goal to meet them where the rubber hits the pavement!
I cannot keep up with them unless I have these amazing supplies to ignite their curiosity and keep their engines revved and full of high octane fuel!
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
