Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I service a total of approximately 45 first graders who come from low-income households. My students all come from different backgrounds and carry different weight on their shoulders. Since some of my students face difficult situations at home, I try to make my classroom a fun, warm, and loving environment. One thing all of my students have in common is their love for music. Music helps get our day started, helps the students open up, and assists them with focusing on their assignments.
My Project
Children are now wrapped around the world of technology. It seems as if technology is taking over the world. By incorporating an Amazon Dot into the classroom, which allows access to Alexa, the students can stay engaged and on task in the classroom. The Amazon Fire tablet can assist with playing different types of music in the classroom. Kidz Bop can help get our day started, while classical music can keep the students calm during independent writing time. By having access to Alexa in the class, the students will know when to transition with the use of different timers. By donating to this project, you can help my students look forward to coming to school and learning due to up to date technology.
