My Project

My students recently finished reading Refugee by Alan Gratz and they really enjoyed the experience. I would like to give them the opportunity to read more of his historical fiction novels. Gratz bases his writing on actual people and events throughout history, which leads my students to inquire about those people and events through non-fiction texts.

I would like to give my students a chance to work in literature circles; each group reading a different novel by the same author.

My students also need journals to take notes as they read in their literature circles. This project will provide them with books, journals, and file boxes to store their lit. circle books and journals.
