Help me give my students the opportunity to improve on reading and math skills with leveled books and other goodies, to bring them up to grade level.

My Students

We are an Academic Intervention Services (AIS) program. Our program is targeted to help all students that are at-risk in all areas of education. They are referred to me by the teacher and we assess the need, set goals and work with the kids individually, tracking their progress, to help them meet their goals. We have seen great gains with all the kids we work with.

My Project

We work with kids that are at-risk, ages kindergarten through 6th grade. The books and resources that I have chosen will continue to help us facilitate learning. I chose books and flashcards that have a variety of skill sets attached, in areas that we have noticed students need to work on. I also chose books that encourage independent reading.

We have found, since Covid, that not only reading is lower, but math skills and writing skills are also impacted.

The whiteboards, markers and math resources will be utilized to help with writing and math skills. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, but will help them meet their academic goals.
