I am a teacher at a truly diverse school.
We are a Title I school. The population of the school consists of seventy-five percent students of color, seventy percent of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch, and forty percent English Language Learners. Many of the students speak English as their second or third language.
My Project
With the time of COVID-19 and in-person learning upon us, an air purifier will help make our learning environment as safe, healthy, and comfortable as possible. Slowing the spread of the virus will not only help prevent us (myself and my students) from passing the virus between one another, but also from taking it home to our love ones. Protecting our loved ones, grandparents, immunocompromised loved ones, friends and neighbors is of the upmost importance!
Along with masks and constant, diligent sanitizing, an air purifier will help to keep the air in our classroom circulating with is crucial in keeping the virus at bay.
