My Project
Middle school is a critical time for students to learn how to manage their time, materials, and responsibilities. To support this, our 8th-grade team wants to provide each student with an AIM Folder—Adulting Instruction Manual—to guide them in developing the organization and self-management skills they need for high school and beyond.
These folders will hold weekly planner sheets, goal-setting and data-tracking pages, hallway passports, and reference materials that students will use in all of their classes.
With a consistent place for important documents and tools, students can focus on learning and developing independence.
Why does this matter?
Many students struggle to keep track of papers, assignments, and important information across multiple classes. By providing AIM Folders, we are giving every student a consistent, organized system to help them build lifelong executive functioning skills, goal-setting habits, and accountability for their own learning.
These folders will also support our social-emotional learning and college and career readiness initiatives by helping students take ownership of their progress and develop habits that will serve them well beyond middle school.
Your support will ensure every student has an AIM Folder, helping them “aim” for success daily.
