My students need some basic supplies. I have requested some basic supplies like a pencil sharpener, paper, a stapler, a tape dispenser, and dry erase markers. This is to ensure I can provide adequate materials.
My students come from very different backgrounds with a variety of disabilities. There are several things that students need to be successful. Aside from social and emotional support, they must also have their materials. This is a basic necessity of all students. My students are eager to learn. They can't do this if all of their needs are not met. In order to meet their needs, there are a few materials I would like to order. This will allow me to continue to help my students strive to be the best they can be.
My Project
The materials I have requested will be beneficial in many ways. First, I will not have to interrupt class for pencils that need to be sharpened. Currently our classroom does not have a pencil sharpener that works. By adding a working pencil sharpener, I will not have to stop my instruction to find a way to provide a writing utensil to my students. Second, I inherited a set of student whiteboards. Currently, we do not have any dry erase markers to use with them. This will allow me to use this instrument in my instruction.
Students should not feel distracted by limited resources.
Third, I am required to file away certain assignments throughout the year. The filing materials will allow me to have an organized method of filling the papers. Overall, these materials will allow me to better provide for my diverse population of students.
