As teachers in a low-income/high poverty school district, the majority of our students are faced with many challenges both in and out of the classroom. The majority of our students don't get the opportunity to explore the local zoo or an amusement park or an aquarium. They often live with a single parent or grandparents.
We are looking to keep things simple and provide our students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.
I know our students would be greatly impacted to have the opportunity of having hands-on experiences from the world of the ocean.
We are two teachers from a low SES (Social Economic Status) school in Los Angeles hoping to fundraise admission for a trip to the Aquarium of the Pacific.
Our students need to explore real-life experiences about animal habitats outside our classroom walls.
Our students will discover the wonders that oceans have such as animals, plants, and habitats
Many of our students don't have the means to go visit local museums, zoos, and aquariums. This would be an invaluable opportunity for them to get hands-on and real-life experiences.
Any amount you are able to donate would be greatly appreciated! Thank you for your generosity.
