This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
As a teacher in a low-income, high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. My goal is to provide my students with hands-on, real-life learning experiences every day.
My students are creative and thoughtful, they like to sing and dance, and they love lots of positive feedback.
Many of them are being raised in single-parent households and receive free or reduced-price lunches. When they walk through my door I focus on what they are capable of accomplishing, and measure their growth throughout the year. By doing this, I hope to inspire them to achieve even the most ambitious of their goals.
My Project
Choose "ESSENTIALS" for matching funds. My students will always have colds, sniffles, runny noses, and allergies that just won't go away. My students need tissues and hand sanitizer/soap to help combat these colds and to be able to attend school even when they have the sniffles. If the students do not have access to tissues in the classroom, they will constantly have to run to the bathroom, missing valuable class time. By including paper towels in with this order, my students will be able to complete the projects that my previous orders were designed for. My classroom has several sinks in it and paper towels provide you with a resource to clean up after the projects have been completed. By making this donation, you will provide my students with essentials that we take for granted in every day life!
Through your generosity, my students will have clean hands, clean noses, clean desks, and paper towels to help clean the classroom.
