Help me give my students in 3rd grade access to news around the world!
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Worley's classroom raised $704
This project is fully funded
My Students
Our school is located in a rural low economic area. I teach in a Title I school where all of our students receive free breakfast and free or reduced rate lunch. I am the librarian and serve K-8. There are 500 students in grades K-5 and 300 students in grades 6-8.
Students at our school strive to do their very best!
My Project
Students need to be up to date on what is going on in our world. It is a part of learning! These news magazines will help my students be aware of what is going on around them and also help improve their reading skills. For example, 4th graders learned about students in a different country that used skateboarding to help them adapt to the war going on around them. I would like to be able to get a subscription for 3rd graders to have the same opportunity. These magazines would help with that!
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
