Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We have a wonderful small space in our school that is labeled the concession stand. Currently, this simply contains a three-compartment sink and an ice maker. Our students are requesting a small after-school store to be created that will give them real-world experience in the business world. This small store will sell quick pre-packaged products such as water, sports drinks, juices, and more. Students would like to add an ice cream machine for our upcoming hot summer months.

Students will manage the inventory, stocking, sales, and daily deposits.

This will provide them with real-world problem-solving skills for their future.

This is an opportunity for students to engage in their entrepreneurial spirit. All profits are deposited into the school student activity account that will go towards helping students pay for items they may not be able to purchase (i.e. uniform shirts, uniform pants, hygiene products, school supplies, field trip expenses, and items of the like. Thank you for helping bring STEAM and Technology to our school.
