Help me give my students We need snacks to provide for our after-school tutoring program. Please help us send these students with food who usually go home with no food to eat. We appreciate any help from you.
My name is Ms.Bonoan, and I am the after-school coordinator at Ka'u High and Pahala Elementary School.
Our school is in a rural community where more than 80% of students are unprivileged. Our community is diverse, and most students come from minority groups.
Our school had a transportation program last year, which led to an after-school program for students who couldn't attend the first class in the morning. We did not have enough drivers, and some students needed to wait for the second round of picking, leading them to miss their class's first period. Our program helped many students ensure they didn't fail their classes because of a circumstance that was out of their control. The success of the program led us to continue it this school year.
We give snacks to feed our students after school and on the road because most travel more than an hour to go home. Sadly, some students from this group don't have snacks at home, and they are so grateful for the food they receive from us.
Please help us continue this endeavor. We can see the positive impact on our students, and we appreciate any help.
