This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My after-school students are excited and happy to remain at school until dinner time while their parents/guardians are still at work. As an inner-city, poverty-ridden area, we provide them with snacks and homework assistance and then a fun activity. The students love to run and play games as well as sit and make cool arts and crafts projects. Currently, we are very limited to what activities we can offer, but our staff continues to come up with fun projects using household items and whatnot. Our budding artists and future athletes would so appreciate any assistance with any supplies to keep them busy.
