My students are complex and unique individuals. Many of them have been raised in the small community the go to school. Most of them have been in the same classroom together since Kindergarten. They all have a strong bond with one another.
Many of my students come from impoverished homes and need a safe space when they come to school.
My students look forward to coming to school when they feel like they are part of the community. They thrive when they work together and can pull on each other's ideas and thoughts. They crave to be apart of a team and me as their teacher take that into consideration in every aspect of my teachers.
My Project
My students deserve the right to have a variety of adventures in their classroom library! The books on this list are of high interest and very popular in my classroom. The students often ask for more book likes these to read.
My hope is that these books will inspire my students to do great things.
Reading is an adventure that everyone should be on at some point in their lives and it is my hope that my students will learn to love reading as it will take them far in life and allow them to live many different lives all while staying in their small community.
