it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
After being a classroom teacher for the last 16 years, I have now started a new adventure as a STEAM teacher! It is an honor and a privilege to now be able to educate so many more children than my usual 25-30 a year. I am currently seeing a wide range of students from 3K-5th grade, general ed, and special ed, working with 5 different classes a day, 5 days a week. As I stepped into this new role, I am absolutely loving the excitement that students have when they visit my STEAM lab.
Hands-on activities and experimentation are the best way to keep my students engaged, learning, and questioning the world around them.
Getting this project funded would allow me to continue to implement a wide variety of projects that give my students the opportunity to guide their own learning and explore their creativity.
This project contains a plethora of different supplies like Legos, and Play-Doh that can be used across all of my classes-different age groups, and varying abilities as well. I appreciate your support in bringing these wonderful opportunities to so many young budding scientists!
