This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach special needs children in the 3rd-6th grades. Those that can read at all are reading well below grade level.. I'd like to let them experience the wonderful places reading can take them. A camping reading nook, complete with tent, log pillows, and a book tree would pique their interest and make reading that much more of an adventure.

Imagine the fun of a tent especially for reading!

It would be an incredible motivator for my reluctant readers, and would help them start on their own adventures in reading!
