Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students need the extra support from visuals and hands-on work, which involves anchor charts, whiteboard work and using games to practice our math skills.
There has been definite loss with students making connections with numbers.
If we want them to be competent in the future, we need to build up these foundations now, there is no time to waste.
I find my students are very enthusiastic about hands-on learning and I make that a priority in my classroom. We try to keep things at a high energy and eager to learn.
