Help me give my students the equipment they need to do advanced science labs during our chemistry unit. It allows student to practice obtaining precise measurements, analyze data and read graphs correctly.

My Project

The use of temperature probes with USB attachments gives students a more advanced, hands on experience in my classroom, especially in science. Using the temperature probes will allow students to gather precise measurements when finding, melting point, freezing point and boiling point of certain substances. We dive into the major concept of properties of substances and why it is important to look at properties of substances for future jobs. Whether they go into engineering, architecture, entrepreneurship or any other job in science, they will have a better understanding of how to use materials in the real world. The temperature probes also connect a usb to their Chromebook. This will allow them to use an app that creates a graph of the data. They will be able to analyze and interpret their data just like a real scientist! It will increase their focus and their learning!

By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, but you will also ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.

Students will be able to simply focus on the academic material at hand, and not whether their materials are going to work or not. Plus, in this technology literate world, any interaction with updated technology will increase their ability to read digital graphs as well as their desire to learn and use the new technology!

Mrs. Kennedy will only receive her materials if this project is fully funded by September 1.
