Adulting Using Financial Literacy

Help me give my students the materials to begin our financial literacy unit where students will learn the importance of money management, having life goals and plans, life skills and more.

My Project

This project is intended to get my inner city youth serious about their future by diving into the importance of financial literacy. The chart papers will be used to make anchor charts and use during gallery works to showcase things they've learned.

The topic of financial literacy is hard, but it is very important and students will begin to realize that as we understand the importance of handling money, having a financial plan and way to lead a successful life that they can live as opposed to survive.

Scissors, markers, table stands, will also be used to arrange the room in way that keeps students organized and able to navigate through the classroom in a way that makes sense and makes the room engaging and fun.

Notebooks are essential and thought I've sent out syllabi, some students are still not able to get them. So, it would be super helpful that these get funded for the students that are unable to go purchase them to have them as soon as possible to keep their work in an organized space as opposed to on loose leaf paper.
