Help me give my students disinfectant products to help keep our classroom clean, safe, and free from germs so they can stay healthy and focused on learning.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I absolutely love my students for their resilience, curiosity, and the joy they bring into the classroom every single day. Many of them come from diverse backgrounds and face challenges outside of school, but when they walk through our classroom door, they are ready to learn, connect, and thrive. Their energy inspires me to create a safe and nurturing environment where they feel valued, supported, and empowered to do their best.
One of the ways I can support their well-being is by ensuring our classroom remains a clean and healthy space.
Having disinfectant products including Clorox Wipes, wet mop refills, air freshener, and more in the classroom is essential, not just to keep surfaces clean, but to protect my students from the spread of germs and illnesses that can interrupt their learning. When students feel healthy and safe, they are more focused, more engaged, and more present in class.
Disinfectant wipes and sprays will be used daily to clean high-touch areas like desks, door handles, and shared materials. This simple resource will help minimize sick days and promote consistent attendance, which is so important for academic success. It also teaches students the value of hygiene and responsibility, as they see firsthand how we all work together to take care of our shared space.
