This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Every year, I am extremely lucky to work with a group of hard-working and kind fourth graders. Most of my students are English learners, newcomer students who have not had the opportunity to attend school in their native countries, and scholars with varying skills and learning styles. This project will positively impact all these students.

The journals and books requested will provide supplemental practice for my students at home and at school, since the journals/books will be utilized to review content in the classroom, as well as for homework; the printer will allow me to use the writing and language book to make many student copies throughout the year, and it will also save me precious teacher time because I will not have to wait in line in the staff room or fight with the copy machine when it jams, which happens frequently!

Thank you so much for helping me get ready for the new school year and supporting my English learners and special needs students.
