Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Young students are so special to me! They like to move, and they love to learn and enjoy new activities. Many of them receive a free lunch based on their socioeconomic status. These things may prevent them from getting ahead early in life and may not provide them with the life experiences many of us see as "typical." I am hopeful to inspire even our earliest learners to discover their capabilities, talents, and strengths; sometimes, all it takes is exposure or motivation. The students in my class strive for excellence. They all inherently care about one another and continually make an effort to improve in all aspects.
My Project
The materials that I have chosen will make a difference for my students every day in the classroom. The caddies will help the students stay nice and organized with everything in one spot. The literacy center pocket chart will be a fantastic way of letting the students know what center they are going to each and every day, and all of the center choices will be in one place. The writing roll paper will be great for interactive writing and will be easy to move from one area of the classroom to the other. At times the students will use the interactive writing lesson that has been completed for literacy centers.
