Our school recently had an amazing bond project that included a remodel of our secondary building. But with the remodel, our hallways are now all one color and very institution like. We want to spice it up a bit and allow our students the opportunity to customize their space.
Allowing students the opportunity to have ownership of the space can help with school culture and their willingness to learn.
Our students truly enjoy creating items that they can hang up and admire. Just because they're older doesn't mean they don't enjoy the coloring of Kinder Days. The different wood crafts allow them to create unique items for different holidays. Sometimes when decorations go up, they stay there all year and become overlooked. By having set decorations for holidays, we will be rotating and having new stuff up often!
The paint markers make it so much easier to color and draw, and as a bonus they are awesome for making large posters. We have a goal of creating a school newsletter and the paper and storage unit will allow us the ability to organize and prepare! They're going to be so excited about the possibilities!
