Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have the best job! I get to do math with students all day long. I get to help students connect with numbers in ways they have never before and fall in love with it. And I get to do this with eight different classes all day long.
My students use hands-on math manipulatives to gain a firm conceptual understanding of number sense in order to become successful in math!
We use our math games to practice numeracy, we use fraction strips to help us add fractions with unlike denominators, we use with dice and math counters to play numeracy games. Everything we do, it's hands on!
That means we also share not just one set of germs, but multiple sets of germs, eight different class sets of germs, to be precise. Please help supply us with hand sanitizer spray, wipes for hands and furniture, and dusters with reusable refills. Please help us replenish some of our game supply, along with dice and game chips, too!
