I am writing this proposal to try to get hands-on materials to enhance my second graders' learning ability. The children in the South Bronx have very little support at home and their opportunity to learn is limited. I want to make Math enjoyable and accessible for my students to learn everyday. Having a "Help-Yourself Math Lab" would give my students the chance to practice their Mathematical skills on their own time during lunch, recess, or any free time available. This Math Lab would meet all the children's needs of various levels and also encourage independence in their academic growth. This lab would help them with various Math skills, such as data analysis, mathematical processes and reasoning, problem solving and algebraic thinking. These are all pertinent topics that the students need improvement on. Your donation would be amazing and appreciated immensely.
