My Students

My class is made up of excited, seven-and eight-year-old students who love to come to school! They are eager learners, and they are excited about what they can learn each day. My class is multi-cultural and consists of African-American, Asian, Hispanic, and White students. My students come from low-income families where they have very little money to buy games or math materials to use at home.

My Project

Learning math concepts is a fundamental need for my students so that they can survive in our world.

Having a large magnetic clock, a magnetic regrouping chart, a magnetic base ten set, addition and subtraction puzzles, balance scales, number bond cards, and snap cubes will give my students hands on practice with addition, subtraction, regrouping, and telling time.

These skills are some of the most important and essential skills that they need to know. These math materials will help them to practice these important concepts during whole group instruction and when they work in math centers.
