Help me give my students access to visuals to meet their needs. We require color ink cartridges so we can provide visuals to any student on campus who requires assistance in navigating and learning at school.
I work as a speech-language pathologist (SLP) at an elementary school serving transitional kindergarten-4th grade students. The student population is a melting pot of locals and those who bring their children to the school from other areas of the district due to the excellence of the staff.
Despite all of our current challenges, my students are putting their best foot forward and making the most of these unprecedented times due to the pandemic.
I serve a wide range of students and abilities within my school, and want to create as much of a sense of consistency and normalcy for them as we transition back to on campus learning.
My students' joy, humor, and compassion inspire me every day. Each day, I am honored to work with them and learn from them.
My Project
At our elementary school, we are lucky enough to have a visuals station provided by you, our wonderful families. Recently, our color printer stopped working with off-brand ink due to an update, and it will only work with with ink created by the manufacturer. In order to provide the visuals for our students, we need the correct ink cartridges for the printer to work.
These ink cartridges will allow us to provide visuals to all of our students who require them to navigate during their school day.
Prior to our printer not working, we were creating visuals daily to help our special education population read, regulate and identify emotions, make requests, follow their class schedule, and participate in their general education environments. Through funding this project, you will give us the means to continue to create these visuals for our students again.
Even though we use color visuals for our special education population, all of our students on campus can benefit from color visuals, if they need it.
