My Students

I teach approximately 70 third through fifth grade children. My students are very diverse, but they are all extremely creative, innovative, and love to explore new ideas and concepts.

In our classroom, my students learn that in order to be truly innovative they must be willing to take risks that may involve failure.

They also learn that experiences that begin with failure are simply opportunities from which to learn and become successful. They are transforming into lifelong learners that are not afraid to explore, improve, and reinvent the world around them.

My Project

Sitting around tables versus desks provides students with collaborative learning opportunities. Having collaborative learning tables in our classroom will allow my students to engage together in daily STEM related challenges. These challenges not only help students learn essential workforce skills including communication and teamwork, but they also encourage the development of engineering skills including problem-solving, creative thinking, innovation, and resilience.

Help us transform our classroom by adding furniture that will provide an environment that makes daily STEM challenges and collaboration an easier reality for us.
