Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Welcome to your new class! As students enter the room, they will be welcomed by their new kindergarten teacher. The faces on these kids will inspire me to do the best to make their learning enjoyable and worthwhile.

My students are enthusiastic about learning, despite of their living conditions.

I teach at a Title I school which provides free breakfast and lunch for all students. Most of my students experience life with different obstacles. Some are from single family homes while others are living with family members. Few families have both parents at home. Most depend on extended family members for help with childcare. On top of all that, the kids come to school overjoyed to learn new things at school.

My Project

The students in my classroom will use the play-doh materials to develop their social-skills, fine-motor skills, and overcome their sensitivity to play-doh's texture. The crayons, dot markers, and markers will provide my students with the materials needed for them to begin developing their imagination to create STEM projects. In learning to share these resources, my students will be a step closer to meeting their goals in their social skills as well as learning the standards.

Your donation will improve my classroom in many ways.

You will provide my students with endless opportunities to become empowered with their imaginations. They will have the amazing opportunity to get to use materials to show their thinking. Empowering students through STEM is extremely important, especially for language learners, and these materials will allow all my students to develop a new sense of confidence.
