I teach fifth grade ELA and social studies to a diverse group of learners. My goal is to expose them to a diversified learning environment where they discover their voice, as well as become deep thinkers while discovering a love of reading and our history.
I teach at school where 95% of our students are Native American.
We are a Title I school where all students receive free breakfast and lunch, and many are part of the weekend backpack program. We have five federal housing projects feed into our school which makes up 80% of our population.
Our students are eager to learn and enjoy hands-on learning experiences.
My Project
We are in desperate need of some fun away from the computers. My students work very hard on the computer, at home and in school. They have been very flexible working in a variety of situations.
Please help me give my students some extras for the treat box as well as some a variety of balls for outside play as a reward for all the hard work they have accomplished this year.
I have chosen some of their favorite candy as well as a new kick ball and bases so we are able to play outside.
