Adaptive Technology for Individualized Needs

My Students

I teach third and fourth grade students with emotional and behavioral disabilities in a self-contained setting. My students are kind, funny, and bright! We work best in person, but due to COVID-19 we are only able to see each other for four hours a week.

As we know, technology has continued to play a big role throughout this distance learning transition.

My Project

The iPads would be used during our current hybrid schedule. Our students are currently participating in our classrooms for four hours a week 1:1. Then the students are required to participate online the remaining three days. The students would then have the ability to take their iPads with them to and from school. The Apple Pencils will be used for my students who receive Occupational Therapy. They would be able to use the pencil to submit hand-written samples online, making assignment submissions much easier for the families and the teachers.
