My Project

Our classroom teaches young students with special needs in grades 4K, 5K and 1st grade. Our students are in a full day special education program.

Donations to our project will go towards materials, such as the ink and lamination pouches, to help us make adaptive books for our students.

Our students are nonverbal and require many adaptions to the curriculum so that they can be successful in learning the curriculum. We create Velcro books to help students learn and practice the skills being taught. For example, in reading we have created Velcro books where students match words to pictures.
