Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach high school geometry and statistics. Although I have yet to meet my amazing students, I know they will accomplish great things in the classroom, whether we are online or in-person.
Every child has something to offer and bring into the learning of the class.
Math can be a scary topic for some, but I hope to create a classroom environment that is welcoming to their new ideas while also making math a little bit more fun for them.
My Project
Right now, we are constantly adjusting to this "new normal" and figuring out new ways to connect with our students while still providing quality education. A lot is happening in the world right now, causing a wide variety of emotions, making adaptability crucial during these times.
Technology is being incorporated into the classroom more than ever before.
Schools are shifting to learning from home or even outside. As we venture in this "new classroom" in our "new normal", I wanted to provide my students with clipboards that will help them with completing assignments whenever we go outside, a charging station/charging cables for students to charge technology, and fidgets for whenever they feel anxious.
