Adapted PE Students Need Balance Stones/Beams and Bean Bags

Help me give my students equipment to help increase their balance and excitement to learn while improving their gross motor skills with balance beams and healthy food bean bags.

My Project

As an Adapted PE teacher working with students with disabilities we are working to improve their gross motor skills. Balance is an area that many of our students struggle with and these beams and balance stones would be so beneficial to help our students work on improving these skills while making it fun and more engaging. These would be so helpful to use in balance units and when creating obstacle courses.

The healthy food bean bags would also be such a helpful tool to use when overhand throwing, underhand tossing, and catching.

I love that they have pictures of healthy foods on them so we can incorporate health and how to keep our bodies strong and continuing to grow. We start talking about creating long term habits for their health even after the are out of school. These make throwing and tossing more fun and where we can easily incorporate other subject areas into Adapted PE.
