This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students in Adapted P.E. are so excited to come to class and work on activities and games that teach them lifelong skills to be happy, healthy, and successful in life. We work on tossing, catching, dribbling, sports skills, strength training, locomotor movement, and exercises. This equipment will replace broken items that no longer are functional and add to new equipment that will make PE a great fun experience.
Adapted Physical Education (APE) is physical education that has been adapted or modified so it is as appropriate for the person with a disability as it is for a person without one.
It emphasizes the importance of physical activity and fitness as well as the development of gross and fine motor skills.
This equipment requested will make it a fun experience and help modify activities so they can be successful in physical education.
