Help me give my students math materials designed for high school students with multiple disabilities, incorporating visual aids, manipulatives, and multi-sensory approaches that promote functional math skills!
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach high school students with special needs, including intellectual disabilities, deaf and hard of hearing, visually impaired, and ambulatory needs; they require tailored support to thrive academically and socially. I thrive to provide a positive learning environment that may foster their independence, employing alternative teaching methods, sign language, braille materials, and assistive technologies.
I would love to establish a specialized math center, equipped with adaptive resources, tailored instruction, and compassionate support, to empower my students with special needs to excel in mathematics and enhance their overall educational experience!
By providing these resources for my students, we are fostering an inclusive and supportive atmosphere where these students are empowered to overcome challenges, develop skills, and pursue their academic and personal goals.
