This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
As a teacher in a low income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. I teach 3-5 year old students with disabilities, specifically autism. Due to the current circumstances, many of my students don't have the ability to learn online and many of them need hands on manipulatives and adapted materials to help them learn.
My Project
I want to provide my students with the best opportunity to learn from home as many of them miss school and are eager to learn. Please help me give my students these materials for home and distance learning due to the COVID-19 pandemic. My students need adapted material as well as manipulatives, fidget and sensory toys to help them learn and be successful during this time of school closures. I would also like to provide them with some snacks and sanitizing wipes as these items may be of need to many of my families.
