Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
All my students have special needs and require individualized instruction based on their IEP (Individualized Education Plan). I would like to expand my student options for centers in my special needs classroom. This writing center would be for two students at a time. I need to keep my groups small to keep them manageable in order to provide my students with the individualized learning they require and deserve.
Having a whiteboard for a learning center would allow my students to use magnets to build words and sentences.
They can also use the dry-erase whiteboard to write and draw. This is an attractive option for students who prefer to use magnets or who want a break from writing with a traditional pencil and paper.
