This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The phonics games, reading activities, and TPT gift cards will provide hands-on, engaging resources that are essential for supporting ENL students. These materials will help reinforce foundational skills such as letter recognition, decoding, and word building in a way that is fun and interactive. By offering students multiple ways to practice these skills—whether through games, visual aids, or guided activities—I can build their confidence and fluency in English. The TPT gift cards will allow me to purchase customized, high-quality resources that cater specifically to the diverse needs of my learners, ensuring that I can meet each student where they are in their language development.
The goal is to provide targeted, differentiated instruction that supports the unique needs of our ENL students.
By using engaging and creative resources, I aim to increase their reading comprehension, phonics knowledge, and overall language proficiency. Additionally, I want to foster a love for reading and learning, making the process enjoyable rather than frustrating. With these resources, my ultimate goal is for students to gain the skills and confidence they need to thrive in an English-speaking classroom and beyond.
My ENL students are incredibly resilient and bring diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds to the classroom. Each student brings a unique perspective that enriches the classroom community, and they constantly demonstrate a growth mindset. Supporting their language development through personalized, engaging resources will help unlock their full potential and set them up for future academic success.
