My Students
I teach in a beautifully culturally diverse Title I School. I have 25 students who adore learning. These students are happy to be at school, even without all of the supplies they need. They work together, problem-solve and share to make sure that everyone gets what they need. I want to give these students every opportunity to explore their potential, and to access high paying careers. I believe these students should also have a classroom full of materials that reflect them, their culture and their interests.
My Project
I have 25 wonderful students, many of whom do not have computer or internet access. Help them feel loved, connected and empowered by providing books and activities during this difficult time. I have chosen books for each student, based on their interests and ability level, to keep their minds active at home. I intend to mail each book to students. Help to foster a love of reading, STEAM and education by surprising these students with their own special book! Spread some joy and hope during an otherwise scary time for a group of elementary age students, who otherwise, were on the road to success.
