My Project
Kindergarten students crave activity. A structured playtime will enhance our on-task learning time. A Parachute lets a group of students engage in a variety of games together, including color matching. Pull Buoy Crossbars, Stepping Buckets, and Bean Bags can be combined into an obstacle course that includes jumping, army crawling, balancing, and cross body bean bag tossing. Yoga Posters will allow students to relax and stretch at their own pace.
Inclement weather should not put a damper on recess; indoor recess can be active and engaging.
Giving students time to interact with friends while being active will allow them to focus during learning times.
The products that I have chosen give students active choices that will increase their interpersonal skills. Working together during playtime will teach students to collaborate during learning activities. Kindergarteners have lots of skills to learn, and physical activity helps keep us on target!
