My Students
I teach in a school that calls itself "the greatest school on Earth" because we believe that. What makes our school so great is the students in our classrooms. They come from various backgrounds and neighborhoods surrounding our school area. My students are the reason I love coming to work and I want to do something for them!
Many of my students are learning English as a second language and come to kindergarten knowing very little English.
We are learning the routines and procedures of school and learning to work together in a learning environment. I want to create a positive environment that encourages students to love learning.
My Project
Using flexible seating during small groups, gets students excited to learn. Students have trouble sitting still, using flexible seating will allow students to be their energetic selves while engaging in learning activities. Kore Wobble Stools will support student's natural movements and allow them to stay supported and safe while they wiggle around on their stool.
Transitioning to Kindergarten can be an exciting time and active seating can support energetic learners in the classroom.
I want my classroom to be welcoming and support a variety of learners. I want my students to be excited to work in small groups and that is why I believe active seating will support my students in the learning process.
