This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Currently, our PE program lacks sufficient equipment to provide varied and high-quality activities across our units. Specifically, we are in need of the following:

Soccer Goals – Soccer is one of the most popular sports among our students, and we have seen high participation rates when it is included in the curriculum.

Unfortunately, our current equipment does not support full-scale soccer games. The addition of soccer goals will allow students to play full games, encouraging teamwork, cardiovascular health, and strategic thinking.

Whiffle Balls – Whiffle balls are versatile and allow us to introduce modified versions of baseball, softball, and other striking games that can be played by students of all ability levels. These are especially valuable because of their safety and adaptability in both indoor and outdoor environments.

Foxtails – Foxtails are a fun, interactive tool that promotes hand-eye coordination, agility, and fitness. They can be used in individual drills or as part of group games, offering a fresh and enjoyable way to get students moving.

These resources will make a significant difference in our ability to deliver a dynamic, engaging, and inclusive PE curriculum that keeps students excited about physical activity.
