My Students

This is the first year we have had a pull-out high ability program in our school. There are approximately 60 third, fourth, fifth, and sixth graders participating in our program.

Each student is unique with his/her own strengths and challenges.

They are usually creative and curious. While some are sensitive to what others think, others may be confident in their own distinctive characteristics. They grasp concepts quickly and crave a problem to solve. They struggle with having high expectations of themselves and yet realizing that we all make mistakes.

My Project

This is the first year a high ability pull out program has been implemented in our building. In the past we have had clustered classrooms and relied on general classroom teachers to do their best to differentiate for these students. We had an increase in students who qualified to be involved in groups such as these and are thrilled to be able to offer this support. We are in need of good materials, projects and ideas to make this as successful as possible. I look forward to using these gift cards to find such items!
