My Students

In a technologically advanced world, my students thirst for interactive media to be brought into their classroom.

My students love to control their learning environment.

Their active minds, bodies, and spirits crave interactive ways to explore and learn new material. We are in a very economically diverse, suburban K-3 school of about 350 students and our classroom is comprised of 20 young minds. Our inclusion-based classroom has 7 students with individual education plans, and 4 receiving additional Title 1 support. We are active learners in this active world, so why can't we have the tools that are geared for this reality?

My Project

By adding an Apple TV and durable iPad case to our classroom tools, we will be able to explore new ways to learn as a class. My personal iPad has already engaged and motivated some of the most struggling students as well as the most advanced students in my room - but only one at a time. By using an Apple TV with my existing projector system, we will be able to explore tablet learning together as a class. We work together in collaborative teams on a daily basis - what a great way to add some of the interactive media these young minds will be undoubtedly growing up with!

My students thirst for interactive learning and technology.

Some have technology use at home, many do not. ALL kids are active, creative, and innovative in their own right. I cannot imagine not being able to provide my students with an equal opportunity to blossom in this fast-paced world. Thank you for your support!
