My school has a diverse population of 675 students in grades pre-k through 5. We have ESOL students, an Autism program, students receiving special education services as well as our general education population.
Help my students to find their best spot to stay calm, focused and productive with flexible seating!
They love to read, research and engage in any type of active learning. The library is the hub or our school and students visit to read, research, create before, during and beyond the school day. Hokki seats will provide student choice in seating and a means of movement even when they are seating!
My Project
Having Hokki stools in the library will increase the flexible seating options in the library, allowing students to find comfortable positions in order to stay focused and engaged in their learning. The ability for constant movement of the stool will particularly help our students with differentiated learning needs to stay focused and process information while they are reading and researching. As the stools are easy to move, it will also encourage opportunities for collaboration and sharing of resources. We are working to make the library a student-centered space. Student choice in seating will help them to be their best learning selves.
