This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My first graders are active and need to get outside. They need P.E. equipment to promote healthy living and cooperation.

In our low income neighborhood, many students feel unsafe outside their homes. We have one half-hour of P.E. mandated every day. They need this opportunity to enjoy outdoor activities but they have no equipment.
My Project
I am requesting Physical Education equipment including five packs of knobby balls, two dozen bean bags, two flexible cone sets and a parachute to help my first graders learn how to have a healthy lifestyle and to meet state standards. On some days, I plan to set up P.E. stations using the cones. Other days, I will create an obstacle course with the cones. My students will rotate between stations and have an opportunity to use all the equipment such as the knobby balls and bean bags. Students will use the balls and bean bags to practice hand-eye coordination. I also plan to use the parachute as a whole class activity. The students are very motivated to use the parachute. They will learn cooperation and team work with the parachute.
Active, healthy students learn more efficiently.
By getting my students outside and playing, they will do better in all academic areas. My students need more diverse P.E. activities and they need to equipment to learn new skills. Please help.
