My Students
Hello! I am a dual language teacher who teaches English Language Learners (ELL's), from all spectrums of the Latin Community.
My students are absolutely adorable!
They love to participate when they are able to understand what is being presented to them. They are innocent, sweet, eager and driven. More than half of my students do not speak English, and so the language barrier can often make learning and participating a bit challenging. Attempting to understand and learn how to speak the English language and the curriculum in multiple subject areas is no easy task, but they try and put in the effort. I admire them for that!
My Project
Nearpod offers teachers and students a way to interact virtually. The use of Nearpod will enhance my presentations and allow me to immediately check for understanding while giving my students the opportunity to communicate with their peers. Nearpod offers the ability to enhance teacher made lessons as well as provide ready made lessons. The use of Nearpod, will give my students an advantage to learning through module based instruction that includes reading material, questions and virtual tours/trips. Students will absolutely love being able to interact and learn with the class during teacher led Nearpod lessons.
