Help me give my students a way to get up and get active with a Meta Quest as well as keeping ourselves clean and healthy with Lysol wipes and Kleenex!

My Project

It's important that we care for our students in different ways. Not only do we need to care for them by providing the best education we can but it's also important to make sure that our room stays clean and we make sure that they stay as healthy as possible! This project aims to do just that.

As a technology teacher, my students spend a lot of time sitting at their desktops.

We have limited time and opportunities to do anything outside of our classroom that might allow students to get up and moving. Bringing a Meta Quest 3 into our classroom will alllow them to do just that. Not only will it provide new learning opportunities but we can also use games like Beat Saber as a chance to get up, get moving and keep the blood flowing as opposed to the sedentary classes that we're used to. It's a chance for those students that need time to self-regulate to be able to do so in a way that keeps them active!

Beyond that, we're also requesting materials to help prevent illnesses and to help provide snacks to those that may not be able to be sent with one from home. All the computers in our classroom are shared so we need Lysol wipes to make sure that keyboards and mice are getting wiped down to help prevent the spread of germs! We also need Kleenex for those students that may be starting to get the sniffles. And, I'd like to have snacks on hand for students that may not have brought something with them, especially if they are in an after school club and here until much later in the day.
